What is an Ethical Will?
An ethical will (Hebrew; Tzava’ah) is a document designed to pass Jewish ethical and moral values from one generation to the next. Rabbi Aaron will provide the tools, guidance and instructions so that every participant can write his/her own personal ethical will.

Is an Ethical Will only an end of life document?
An ethical will can be created in any number of formats and at any time. A few examples:

  • A letter written by a mother to her sons and daughters to be read after they are marrie
  • A written account by grandparents to their young grandchildren
  • A series of “pearls of wisdom” chronicled and passed down from a father to his son
