David S. Stone Religious School

We are happy to announce that parents of students enrolled in the David S. Stone Religious School will not have to pay tuition for the 2026-2027 academic year. The Women of CBI have generously provided a grant to replace the tuition costs that would otherwise be charged to CBI families for both Sunday School and Hebrew School.

To qualify for free tuition, parents must be members in good standing at Congregation B'nai Israel or Congregation Etz Chayim.

Please contact Shira Hartman at 419-517-8400 if you are interested in this exceptional opportunity to educate our Jewish children or if you have any questions.

If you and your family are not members of CBI but would like to enroll your child or grandchild for the David S. Stone Religious School, contact Rhoda Miller at 419-517-8400 to learn how to become a member. We will do our best to work with families with financial need.

The David S. Stone Religious School invites grandparent who are members in good standing at Congregation B’nai Israel and Congregation Etz Chayim to enroll their school-aged grandchildren (grades 1-10). We are also organizing a pre-school class. More info will be forthcoming.
Grandparents will be responsible for the $200 fee to CBI for the Religious School academic year.

We look forward to another wonderful year at the David S. Stone School. Congregation B’nai Israel offers an outstanding religious school program open to all Jewish children and children of interfaith families. Children of interfaith couples may be enrolled in our Religious School provided that the child is Jewish or that there is intent to have the child converted to Judaism.

Our dedicated faculty teaches through a creative hands-on curriculum, where students develop an understanding of the beliefs, practices and values of Judaism. Our school offers programming for ages two years through 10th grade on Sunday mornings. Students ages 3rd-6th grade attend on both Sunday mornings and Wednesday afternoons. Students are involved in many fun Jewish learning activities, such as cooking, stories, music, art, as well as special visitors. The students also participate in various mitzvah projects throughout the year. The students enjoy programming with their friends from other congregations to enable everyone to learn together and experience Jewish community.

We are proud of our religious school community in which students work with an engaging faculty, who bring each student Jewish values and a love for Judaism. Congregation B’nai Israel Religious School unites the students of our synagogue to learn, worship, and have positive social interactions in order to create the foundation for lifelong Jewish learning.

We look forward to another great school year at the David S. Stone Religious School, and are excited to again welcome our friends from Congregation Etz Chayim.

We are thrilled to offer our Parent /Tot program again this year. There will be an exciting curriculum focused on holidays, Hebrew and Judaics.
